Choosing Our Wedding Style

Choosing Our Wedding Style

194 days to go…! When we count it in weeks (~29), it seems scarily close, but 194 is a pretty big number, and makes it seem like we have so much more time, ha! Every time I log into TheKnot, I’m reminded of exactly how much (or how little!) time we have left to plan a million little details. But this is the fun part!

Already in the planning process, we have been asked a couple times about what our wedding style will be. While I can show you countless pictures on Pinterest of what I’d like to emulate, this is a surprisingly hard question to answer!

The season and venue in which the wedding takes place automatically help provide some inspiration as to the theme and color scheme. Now that we are having a summer wedding, and I look at all the summer color inspiration on Pinterest, I’m actually so, so glad we aren’t having a fall wedding. I can’t imagine what color bridesmaid dresses I would have chosen, or what color flowers I’d want in my bouquet, and so on.

With a summer wedding, it just seems like all the colors I gravitate towards work so naturally. I love neutral colors, like pale pinks, and blush, and champagne. And they all help to set a romantic mood for a slightly rustic, kind of antique-y feel. It’s perfect.

Here is some of the inspiration I’ve found on Pinterest as I start to think about all the details we want for our summer wedding!
