Before I get started, I just have to say that none of the dresses pictured here are my actual dress! I’m keeping that a secret from my fiance, although my mom, maid of honor, bridesmaids, and grandma have seen it or pics of it!
This past weekend was a big weekend: I went wedding dress shopping AND picked out my dress! Going in I had a very clear vision of what style, fabric, cut, and look I wanted, and I have to say I ended up with pretty much what I had in mind! 🙂 Considering I’m the most indecisive person ever, this was a pretty big deal. Even when regular clothes shopping, I have difficulty making decisions and will think over my purchases long before I actually swipe my credit card. My fiance actually said he was worried I wouldn’t find anything–he knows me too well!
This was the last dress I tried at the first store, and the best option I had tried up to that point. It felt very bridal (the poofiness) and I absolutely loved the back of it (I’m obsessed with the backs of dresses!), however, I don’t know that it was very “me.” Luckily, I kept searching! 🙂
Soo..I’ve been waiting and waiting to share my engagement photos but wanted to make sure everyone received our Save the Dates first, since we used a bunch of these pics on them! 🙂 We were originally supposed to take our photos on the day of the blizzard, but we had to postpone until the weekend after. And I’m so glad we did because we had beautiful, sunny weather in Central Park, and it felt warm enough for me to be outside in a skirt and no coat (don’t get me wrong it was still maybe 40-something degrees, but that felt warm!).
Our photographer was Sheraz’s friend and while photography is an avid hobby of hers, she had never really photographed people before. But we couldn’t be more thrilled with how they came out, and all our friends and family love them!
While I really love going to the gym, especially on weekends (when I feel like I can spend more time there and not have to rush), there are definitely times when it is nice to not have to leave the apartment to workout–especially during the long, cold New York winters!
In order to get in a great workout at home, these are my picks for my at-home workout wishlist:
So, because I am off to Connecticut today to meet with the florist, I decided to share some of the floral designs (bouquets and centerpieces) that have inspired me lately! I’m not entirely sure yet what we want yet in terms of design (there are so many pretty looks that it’s hard to narrow it down), but I’m hoping that this meeting will help us shape our vision for the day!
I do, however, know I’ve been gravitating toward soft, romantic florals in light pinks, blushes, and whites. And I have fallen in love with cafe au lait dahlias, which I think are the flower I want featured throughout our day. Luckily, they are in season in the summer!
