Hope everyone’s week is off to a great start! And Happy Leap Day!
It’s an exciting week for me because tomorrow is my last day at my job. I am actually returning to my old job, which I left almost exactly 1 year ago. I don’t regret leaving, and I think that time away has given me a welcome, and necessary, perspective. I think that this will be a good decision for me for a lot of reasons. Anyway, I’m really freakin excited to go back!
In gearing up for the week, the fiance and I may have gone a *little* overboard with celebrating this weekend (is that possible?) We went to brunch on BOTH Saturday and Sunday! haha. We had two amazing meals:
Every once in a while I like to take a spin class at Cyc (the only cardio I really enjoy doing)! My brother got me a giftcard of 5 classes for Christmas, which was the most awesome gift, and this morning the fiance and I both started our day off with a bright and early 7am class. After sweating our butts off, and already feeling like we had really accomplished something for the day (the perk of working out in the morning), we had time for a little breakfast date before work. Avocado toast is not a bad way to kick of the weekend! 🙂
We have lots of fun things planned for this weekend, including a meeting in Connecticut with our florist, and engagement pictures followed by brunch on Sunday morning! I’m looking forward to all of it. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Every year, the boyfriend (now fiance!) and I decide to forego presents for each other at Christmastime in exchange for spending a day together doing Christmasy things around the city. We’d rather have an experience and create memories than buy each other material things. And to be honest, it’s so much better because I remember our experiences together year after year and they have become really special memories. Meanwhile, I can’t remember what anyone got me for Christmas 3 or 4 years ago!
